Wallpaper Sample & Material Consultation

Choose wallcoverings with the installation in mind. Shotcount helps homeowners and interior designers in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia review wallpaper samples, product specifications and room conditions before committing to an installation.

Compare more than color

Texture, pattern repeat, panel width and the way a finish catches light all influence the result. We discuss natural variation, expected seams and how the material will meet corners, trim and architectural features. Viewing a sample in the actual room helps clarify expectations.

Review practical requirements

Share the manufacturer, product code, sample and hanging instructions. We review preparation, adhesive requirements, handling and room suitability. Quantity and scheduling depend on the final dimensions and product format, so early discussion can help avoid ordering delays.

Plan your project with Shotcount

Family-owned since 1925, Shotcount serves homeowners, interior designers and contractors throughout Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Send photographs, approximate dimensions, your wallcovering details and preferred timing so we can discuss preparation, access and an installation quote.

03- Information Collected Automatically

When you use the website, certain technical information may be collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate geographic area derived from IP address, date and time of access, and interactions with website features. This information may be collected through server logs, cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies.

04- How We Use Information

We may use information to respond to inquiries; prepare estimates, proposals, and project recommendations; communicate about projects; coordinate site visits and scheduling; provide and improve services; process transactions; maintain customer and project records; provide customer support; operate and secure the website; understand website usage; improve marketing and customer experience; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal obligations; and protect the rights, property, and safety of Shotcount, our customers, and others.

05- Project Photographs, Plans, and Uploaded Materials

Materials submitted through the website may be used to evaluate project scope, estimate labor and material requirements, prepare proposals, coordinate installation, communicate with the customer, and document the project.

Shotcount will not treat customer-submitted materials as authorization for public advertising or portfolio use unless such use is otherwise authorized or permitted by an applicable agreement or consent.

06- Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functionality, preferences, security, analytics, performance measurement, and, where applicable, advertising or marketing. Some cookies may be placed by third-party service providers. Where required by applicable law, Shotcount should provide appropriate cookie notice and consent choices. Users may also be able to control cookies through their browser settings, although disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

07- Analytics and Advertising

Shotcount may use website analytics or advertising services to understand traffic, measure performance, evaluate marketing campaigns, and improve the website. These providers may process information about visits and interactions according to their own privacy terms. If advertising technologies involving cross-site tracking or targeted advertising are used, Shotcount should provide any notices, opt-outs, or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.

08- Communications

If you contact Shotcount, we may use the contact information you provide to respond to your request and communicate about your project. Where permitted and with any consent required by law, we may also send service updates, promotional messages, or other marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in those messages. Transactional or project-related communications may continue when necessary to provide requested services.

09- Text Messages and Telephone Calls

If you provide a telephone number and request or consent to telephone or text communications, Shotcount may use that number to respond to inquiries, coordinate projects, provide scheduling information, or send other communications consistent with the consent provided. Consent to marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing services where prohibited by law. Applicable message and data rates may apply.

10- How We May Share Information

We may share information with service providers that assist with website hosting, communications, customer support, scheduling, analytics, payment processing, accounting, project management, marketing, cybersecurity, or other business operations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, regulatory obligations, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect legal rights and safety. We may disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

11- We Do Not Sell Personal Information for Money

Shotcount does not intend to sell personal information for monetary payment. Certain privacy laws, however, define “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising broadly enough to include some advertising or analytics activities. If Shotcount uses technologies that fall within those definitions, appropriate disclosures and consumer choices should be provided as required by applicable law.

12- Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may link to or integrate with third-party services, including social-media platforms, payment providers, scheduling tools, chat services, mapping services, analytics providers, or manufacturers. Shotcount does not control the privacy practices of those third parties. Users should review the privacy policies of third-party services before providing information to them.

13- Data Retention

We may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining project and business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting tax, accounting, insurance, warranty, or legal obligations, and protecting legitimate business interests.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.

14- Data Security

Shotcount uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and Shotcount cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored electronically.

15- Children’s Privacy

The Shotcount website and services are intended for adults seeking professional wallcovering and related services and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the website.

If we learn that information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring deletion, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

16- Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which may include requesting access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or opting out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or marketing. These rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to exceptions.

Shotcount may need to verify a request before acting on it.

17- United States State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. The availability and scope of those rights depend on the law, the nature of the information, and whether statutory applicability thresholds are met. Shotcount should evaluate its obligations as its business, website technologies, customer base, and service areas evolve.

18- Do Not Track and Preference Signals

Some browsers and devices offer privacy preference signals. The legal effect of such signals varies by jurisdiction. Where Shotcount is legally required to recognize an applicable opt-out preference signal, the website should be configured to honor it in accordance with applicable law.

19- International Visitors

Shotcount primarily provides services in the United States. If you access the website from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate. Privacy protections and legal requirements may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

20- Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, website technologies, services, or legal requirements. The revised Policy will be posted on the website with an updated effective date. Material changes may be communicated through additional notice when appropriate or legally required.

For privacy-rights requests, users should clearly identify the nature of the request and provide sufficient information for Shotcount to reasonably verify and respond to it.

Implementation note: Before publishing, Shotcount should ensure this Policy accurately identifies the technologies actually deployed on the website. The footer should link to this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions. SHOTCOUNT WALLPAPER COMPANY WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective date: August 15, 2026

01- Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Shotcount Wallpaper Company website, requesting information, submitting a project inquiry, requesting an estimate, communicating with us through website forms, chat, email, telephone, or other website features, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our applicable privacy practices. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

02- About Shotcount Wallpaper Company

Shotcount Wallpaper Company provides professional wallpaper and wallcovering-related services, including installation, removal, wall preparation, repairs, consultation, project coordination, and other related services that may be offered from time to time. Information on the website is provided for general informational and marketing purposes and does not by itself create a contract for services.

03- Estimates, Quotes, and Proposals

Any pricing, ranges, examples, promotional pricing, or other cost information displayed on the website is informational unless expressly identified as a binding written proposal. Final pricing may depend on field conditions, measurements, wallcovering type, pattern, material condition, wall preparation, access, ceiling height, installation complexity, travel, scheduling, and other project-specific requirements. A project becomes subject to a service agreement only when the applicable proposal, estimate, work order, or other written agreement is accepted in accordance with its terms.

04- Site Visits, Measurements, and Project Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate project information. Measurements, photographs, drawings, quantities, product information, and descriptions submitted through the website may be used for preliminary estimating. Shotcount may require an on-site inspection, additional photographs, product specifications, or other information before confirming scope, price, scheduling, or installation requirements.

05- Wallcovering Materials

Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, the customer is responsible for ensuring that sufficient wallcovering material is available for the project. Dye-lot variation, printing variation, manufacturing defects, pattern irregularities, dimensional instability, shading, natural-material variation, and other characteristics originating with a wallcovering manufacturer are outside Shotcount’s control. Installation does not constitute a manufacturer’s warranty.

06- Surface and Site Conditions

Successful wallcovering installation depends on suitable wall and site conditions. Hidden defects, moisture, mold, structural movement, defective drywall, incompatible coatings, contamination, previous adhesive, improperly prepared surfaces, or other concealed conditions may require additional work and may affect schedule and cost. Shotcount may suspend work when conditions are unsuitable for proper or safe installation.

07- Scheduling and Access

Scheduling is subject to availability and may depend on receipt of required approvals, deposits, materials, site readiness, and other project requirements. Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area. Delays caused by inaccessible areas, incomplete construction, missing materials, other trades, building restrictions, utilities, weather, or conditions outside Shotcount’s reasonable control may require rescheduling.

08- Deposits, Payments, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Deposits, payment schedules, cancellation terms, rescheduling charges, and refund eligibility are governed by the specific written proposal, invoice, booking confirmation, or service agreement applicable to the project. Website submission of an inquiry alone does not reserve an installation date unless Shotcount expressly confirms the reservation.

09- Promotions

Promotions, discounts, and special offers may be subject to eligibility requirements, booking periods, service-area limitations, size limitations, exclusions, availability, and other stated conditions. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined and have no cash value. Shotcount may correct typographical or pricing errors and may modify or discontinue a promotion where permitted by law.

10- Website Communications

When you submit contact information through the website, you authorize Shotcount to respond to your inquiry using the contact methods you provide. Marketing communications, where applicable, are subject to the consent choices and opt-out mechanisms provided with those communications. Submission of a form does not guarantee acceptance of a project or availability on a particular date.

11- Website Content and Intellectual Property

The website and its original text, branding, logos, graphics, layouts, photographs, videos, designs, and other content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without permission, except as permitted by law. Third-party trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

12- Customer-Submitted Content

If you submit photographs, plans, drawings, messages, specifications, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to provide them for purposes related to your inquiry or project. You grant Shotcount permission to use such materials internally as reasonably necessary to evaluate, quote, coordinate, document, or perform the requested services. Any separate use for advertising or portfolio purposes should be governed by applicable consent or agreement.

13- Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms, payment processors, scheduling services, manufacturers, designers, or other providers. Shotcount does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, or services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

14- Website Availability and Accuracy

Shotcount seeks to keep website information accurate and useful, but does not warrant that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or free of harmful components. Images may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, screens, materials, and site conditions. Website photographs and project examples are illustrative and do not guarantee identical results.

15- Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its informational content are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. Shotcount disclaims warranties relating solely to website use except warranties that cannot legally be excluded. Any warranty applicable to contracted installation services will be governed by the written agreement for those services.

16- Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shotcount will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Liability relating to contracted services is governed by the applicable written service agreement and controlling law.

17- Prohibited Website Use

You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape or harvest information in violation of law, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent inquiries, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

18- Privacy

Personal information collected through the website should be handled in accordance with Shotcount’s Privacy Policy and applicable law. These Terms should be read together with the website’s Privacy Policy. Where required, cookie or tracking technologies should be addressed through an appropriate cookie notice or consent mechanism.

19- Service Areas and Availability

References to geographic service areas do not guarantee that every project within a listed area will be accepted. Project acceptance may depend on location, scope, schedule, access, material, staffing, and other factors. Shotcount may accept or decline project inquiries at its discretion, subject to applicable law and existing contractual obligations.

20- Changes to These Terms

Shotcount may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective when posted on the website unless a different effective date is stated. Changes do not retroactively alter an existing signed service agreement unless permitted by that agreement and applicable law.

21- Governing Law

These Terms should be interpreted under the laws applicable to the Shotcount entity operating the website and the jurisdiction identified in the company’s final legal review, without giving effect to conflict-of-law principles where legally permissible. Because Shotcount may serve customers in multiple jurisdictions, this clause should be confirmed by qualified counsel before publication.

22- Contact

Questions concerning these Terms and Conditions may be directed to Shotcount Wallpaper Company through the contact information published on the official Shotcount website.
